LATIN AMERICA - PÉROU

The Association for Human Rights in Peru (APRODEH) , founded in 1983, is a non-governmental organisation committed to the comprehensive defence and promotion of human rights in Peru. Its mission is to contribute to the development of social, legal and political processes for the defence and integral promotion of the guarantee of rights as part of increased efforts to build an equitable and democratic country.

The program focuses on the following actions:

• Organisation of training workshops on food security and the production of sustainable economic and productive systems.
• Creation of a network of participants and promotion of exchanges between producers on marketing initiatives, native seed banks, local and traditional knowledge.
• Development of a technical study on the adaptations of communities in the Andean highlands to climate change.
