THE CORE COLLECTIVE'S VISION OF A FAIR ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION
GLOBAL
VISION
PROGRAM GOVERNANCE
Dom Helder Camara, a Brazilian priest and figurehead of liberation theology, is quoted as saying, “ When you dream alone, it is only a dream, but when you dream together, it is already a reality. A shared utopia is the driving force of history.” It is in this spirit that this vision was developed, in the form of a compass, composed of different horizons to be pursued together. This document is the first result of three years of exchange and synthesis within this program, particularly during two Global Stakeholder Assemblies and based on the experiences of each and every participant. It lays the foundations and hypotheses for what unites the actors behind the concept of a fair ecological transition. This initial approach is a guide for action, evaluation, and influence. This vision is alive and will be refined, questioned, and enriched by the reflections and actions of the Resilient Communities collective. It also aims to be confronted with the reality of other actors working towards a fair ecological transition: political and institutional actors, NGOs, economic actors, civil society.
