AS-PTA
LATIN AMERICA - BRÉSIL
AS-PTA Agricultura Familiar e Agroecologia (ASPTA) is a Brazilian non-profit civil law association that since 1983 has worked to strengthen family agriculture and promote sustainable rural development in Brazil. The AS-PTA participated in the constitution and operates in several civil society networks aimed at promoting sustainable rural development. At the same time as they constitute spaces for collective learning, these networks propose articulated actions of organisations and movements in society to influence the creation, implementation and monitoring of public policies.
The activities in the Resilient Communities (CoRe) will be as follows:
- 10 exchange activities on the just ecological transition, with the participation of at least 100 people
- Exchange of experiences between women in relation to local AS-PTA programs in the states of Paraná and Paraíba
- Advocacy in defense of common goods through the organisation of Fairs and Workshops on peasant seeds and agrobiodiversity
- Observatory of the Agroecological Transition in the Borborema territory developing 1 participatory case study to evaluate the effects of the combination of public policies in the local context and 1 multi-actor dialogue space to debate the results of the case studies
- Support for networks of seed guardians in the State of Paraná
- Monitoring meetings, evaluation and exchange of experiences on the use of agroecological booklets.
- Systematization of common property management systems, with the support of the Lume method.
